I have only 2 pieces of this material, both from Mexico, because of their size they will be sold together. They will produce top quality fiery gemstones when faceted or cabbed. Both are facet grade and classed as IF, They would Polish well using Cerium Oxide. The photo depicts the colour very well, one has a slight colour play as seen in the photo. Both stones have been out of water for a long time so are stable to cut. 5.52 ct total weight. I have seen these Mexican Fire Opals sell for in excess of $100 USD per carat cut.
